The Universal Valentine Day Message

February 14 or Valentine’s Day traces its origin back to ancient Rome. No one really knows who the real Saint was; though records indicate that he was a pious priest known to have helped lovers unite. It is widely believed that in those days the Roman emperor had forbidden soldiers to marry. He believed that celibate young men were pure and made powerful soldiers.  Saint Valentine would help soldiers get married on the clandestine. Ever since the feast has had a special significance for lovers!

People are gradually beginning to understand the deeper meaning. In America for example schools and educational institutions organize special Valentine Day carnivals for children. In fact organizers try and come up with unique and interesting things to attract people each year. We suggest you do something interesting this year. Why not organize on the spot cake baking competitions. Of course instant sponge cakes! The one to two hours of competition is sure to keep people riveted to your stall.

Christmas play ideas for pre-schoolers

Nativity Scene

This is not only a holy story but also a story that can be easily understood by people of all age groups, especially the kids. The infant Jesus in the play will appeal a lot to small kids. To make the play easier for understanding, one may reduce the characters to 4-6. Simple and short dialogues should be used. The setting for the play should be bright and clutter fry.

Stable and the mice family

This story is also one of the simplest Christmas play ideas. The setting is a stable where a couple has taken shelter with their new born child in a stable. The stable is also a home to a mice family. The little creatures are disturbed by the commotion since the couple has come to stay in the stable. They are receiving a constant stream of guests. The little creatures are baffled by what is going on in the stable. They are interpreting the turn of events in the shelter in their won funny manner. The cute play will be liked by both kids as well as youths.
